About me

Work
Currently, I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Second Language Studies at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa. Previously, I was the Director of Assessment at the University of Kentucky, I worked in language assessment in the Program in Intensive English at Northern Arizona University, and I interned as an assessment research specialist at Cambridge-Michigan Language Assessments (CaMLA). In addition, I have taught or TA-ed a wide range of ESL, composition, introduction to linguistics, and descriptive grammar courses.

I maintain two active repositories for R packages on github:

  1. riris: An R client for the IRIS digital repository of L2 research instruments
  2. rcrtan: An R package for criterion-referenced test analysis
